Lanza Engineers to Present 2 GW HVDC Jacket Design at Bentley Webinar

11 June 2026 · Lanza Engineers

In April 2025, the Lanza Engineers team completed the jacket foundation design for a 2 GW HVDC offshore substation in the North Sea. Among the heaviest jacket structures ever designed for an offshore wind project, the work represents one of the most structurally demanding assignments the team has taken on to date.

On 8 July 2026, three members of the team will present the full case study at a Bentley-hosted webinar. Antonio Carvalheira, Structural Department Manager, and Konstantinos Garyfallogiannis, R&D Manager, will cover the Python automation developed to handle load case management for a project of this scale. Roy Mejia, Director, will present the project itself and the engineering approach behind it.

The same case study has also been nominated for a 2026 Bentley Year in Infrastructure Award in the Structural Engineering category.

If you work on offshore wind foundations, heavy jacket structures, or HVDC platforms, this presentation will be worth your time. More details on registration will follow over the coming weeks.
